Meet the Hosts

Two speech-language pathologists walk into a podcast. There’s no punchline, but for some reason we’re still laughing.

If you’ve ever squinted at a pillbox, questioned your own functional goals, or wondered how to sneak more clinical education into your life without actually reading a journal article… we got ya!

About the Hosts

Emily Brady

Emily is a medical speech-language pathologist working in SNFs around Akron, Ohio. A mom of three, she’s long been a go-to for study guides and peer support. When she couldn’t find practical resources for SLPs in adult medical settings, she teamed up with her NYU classmate, Eva Johnson, to create one, designed especially for clinicians juggling work, life, and caregiving. They’re figuring it out too, and are happy to share the journey.

Eva Johnson

Eva is a skilled nursing SLP with a background in ESL and Romance languages. A former teacher and TA, she brings a love of clear, systems-based thinking to clinical care. She joined the podcast to keep teaching, grow as a clinician, and collaborate with her classmate Emily. A mom of two, Eva loves Shabbat dinners, still hopes to paint again someday, and brings curiosity and practical wisdom to every conversation.
